Workshops

When you enrol to attend a workshop a deposit is required. The workshop will go ahead if there are 5 or more people enrolled. Your deposit will be refunded if I cancel the workshop due to fewer than 5 being interested.

Please remember to bring your lunch as we are not close to cafes or bakeries, I will provide morning tea.

If you need to hire a sewing machine I have 1 available at a cost of $ 10.00 per workshop, please contact me ahead of the workshop if you require the hire machine, you must supply your own thread.

Fat ¼ Quilt February 15th 2020 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. Cost $50.00

If you are a Fat ¼ buyer and have quite a collection, this could be the workshop for you. This quilt uses 12 fat ¼'s and a background fabric. I have used all blues but you could use whatever you like. I would suggest that you avoid stripes and large patterns.

There will be some preparation to do before the class. There are only a few spaces left in this class.

Cutting With Confidence February 22nd 2020 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. Cost $25.00

This workshop is to help you get to grips with using your rotary cutter and your own rulers, it is designed to give you practice at cutting accurately. It will involve cutting different sizes and using the different angles that you will need in your future projects, so dig out some of your oldest fabric or even an old sheet and we will get cutting.

Raw Edge Applique Cushion February 29th 2020 10.00 a.m.- 4.00 p.m. Cost $50.00

This class will be a new technique for many of you and gives you another option for your applique. I have the sample underway and will post a picture of it on my Facebook page just as soon as it is completed. This is not a complicated pattern but will be effective and the use of contrasting thread will highlight the applique. I thought a cushion would be a practical size to learn this technique.

P.H.D. Day ( Projects Half Done) 28th March 2020 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. Cost $45.00

This workshop provides the opportunity to get some help with a project that you may be stuck on or maybe you just want some time out to sew. Come along to this workshop and have some uninterrupted sewing time.
